Excel Templates: 2014-15 UEFA Champions League schedule spreadsheet

The draw for the group stage of the most prestigious club football competition - UEFA Champions League – was held on 28 August. This spreadsheet will allow you to enter the scores and follow the development of this major tournament.

Please read the explanation below carefully to understand how this spreadsheet works.

You can navigate through this spreadsheet by using the MAIN NAVIGATION MENU.

In SETTINGS section you might select the language you prefer.

Section ‘GROUP STAGE’ allows you to enter the results of the group stage. You can also highlight matches of your favorite team, group or teams from the same country by selecting the appropriate options at the top of group matches table. Based on your selection, matches will be highlighted in other colors, as shown below:

Using of Matches Navigation will allow you to go to a specific round of the tournament. For example, click on ROUND 5 link in order to go to the fifth round.

With Show Team Standings link you can see the standings at any moment (is useful when entering the results of the last rounds of the group stage).

Tournament statistics will allow you to track the scoring of games as well as team progress in the tournament.

Match results should be entered into the yellow cells. Excel will automatically perform all needed calculations.

Once all group matches are finished, click on the DRAWING OF LOTS link to set up the round of 16 matches.

On DRAWING sheet the pairing number must be assigned for each Group Winner and Group Runner-Up. For example, if Group A winner will play against Group E Runner-Up in Match no. 1 you must enter number 1 in related drawing boxes (cells with yellow color).

Go to the KNOCKOUT STAGE to enter the round of 16 results. When completed, go to the DRAWING OF LOTS sheet once again to perform the pairing of the Quarter-finals matches. All previous round winners will be shown in a list, as shown below:
